The Andrews

I had the pleasure of meeting Shannon whilst DJing for her best friend's wedding, which was such a beautiful celebration held at Lamont’s Bishops house. Shortly after, Shannon's partner, Luke, proposed to her while they were out fishing, and the adorable moment was captured by a hidden camera.

I was thrilled when I received an enquiry with details about their upcoming wedding, along with a message expressing how much they loved my music and style. Being available for their date, I couldn't contain my excitement to be a part of their special day.

We arranged to meet on a balmy Friday afternoon in Subi for a drink after Luke finished up his suit fitting at Suit Vault. As soon as we sat down and started discussing music and their wedding plans, it was evident that their day would be filled with so much love and fun. Our conversation was filled with laughter and I left our catchup with the biggest smile on my face.

Their ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Meelup Farmhouse. Shannon's personal touch and style was evident in every detail, the beautiful wedding stationary and signage were all created by her gorgeous little business Creations By Shannon.

Their heartfelt ceremony was officiated by Hayley from Vowsbyhayley. Following this guests strolled over to the reception area to enjoy drinks on the lawn, soaking in the sunset. They then found their way to their seats, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bridal party whilst sipping on delicious cocktails.

The MC of the night, MC Jason, truly elevated the energy and excitement, setting the stage for some of the most memorable entrances I've witnessed.

The Bridal party entrance was divided into three parts. The bridesmaids made a flawless entrance to 'Dance the Night – Dua Lipa', showcasing style and grace. The groomsmen followed suit, entering to 'Not Many – Scribe', perfectly recreating the Globo Gym Purple Cobras entrance from Dodgeball. Lastly, the beautiful bride and groom, entered to ‘Love at First Sight – Kylie Minogue’, with guests cheering them on enthusiastically. It was a special moment that truly reflected the love between Shannon and Luke.

Laughter filled the air as dinner was served, accompanied by heartfelt speeches that set the tone for an evening to remember.

Their first dance to ‘Sparks by Coldplay’ was a touching moment captured perfectly by their photographer Lachie from Lochsmith Photography, as they swayed together, surrounded by loved ones.

The dance floor the came alive with some spontaneous breakdancing and good vibes all around.

A standout moment of the night was an epic remix of ‘Freed from Desire (Xtm REMIX)’. Shannon and Luke, swept up in the excitement, were lifted onto shoulders, immersing themselves in song.

The night ended on a high note with a selection of special final songs including ‘Memories – David Guetta’, ‘One More Time – Daft Punk’, and ‘A Sky Full of Stars – Coldplay’.

Their exit song, ‘You Get What You Give – New Radicals’, had Shannon and Luke once again lifted onto shoulders. Half way into the song guests formed an exit tunnel and Shannon and Luke made their way through it hand in hand, giggling all the way.

A few weeks later, they found themselves at a Coldplay concert, singing along to their favourite songs and reminiscing about the special moments from their wedding day. CUUUUUTEEEEEE!!

To Shannon and Luke, you are the freakin cutest and I want to express my deepest gratitude for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day. It was sun a privilege to share in your joy and to play a small role in bringing your vision to life. May your journey together be filled with continued laughter, lots of love and countless moments of happiness.

xoxo Katie
